Football Recap: Trinity Takes a Loss

Trinity fought the good fight in their overtime game against East Pennsboro on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 16-9 to the Panthers. The Shamrocks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

East Pennsboro had a senior duo take command as EJ Rivera rushed for 139 yards on only nine carries and Elliot Bruhn rushed for 122 yards. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 87 yards.

Trinity's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for East Pennsboro, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Trinity is set to challenge their familiar foe Big Spring at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, East Pennsboro will face off against rival Milton Hershey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
