Volleyball Recap: Medina/Pingree-Buchanan Takes a Loss

Medina/Pingree-Buchanan was the 3-1 winner over Ellendale when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Medina/Pingree-Buchanan took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ellendale on Thursday.

Medina/Pingree-Buchanan started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-15.

Among those leading the charge was Macy Norton, who had 15 digs and two assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last six contests.

Medina/Pingree-Buchanan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Ellendale, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Medina/Pingree-Buchanan will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Shiloh Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Ellendale, they will take on LaMoure/Litchville-Marion at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
