Volleyball Recap: Diamond Bar Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Rowland on Wednesday, Diamond Bar came back down to earth. The Brahmas lost 3-0 to the San Dimas Saints on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Brahmas of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

While Diamond Bar was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-18, 25-23.

Kristen Yang paced Diamond Bar's offense, picking up ten kills. Yang got some help from Brooke Lam and her 21 assists. Yang was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Natalie Starkey had an outrageously good game for San Dimas as she had 20 digs and four aces. Another player making a difference was Leanna Robledo, who had 12 digs.

Diamond Bar's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for San Dimas, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Diamond Bar will venture away from home to take on La Mirada at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for San Dimas, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Claremont on the 20th.
