Recap: La Marque Cougars vs. Bay City Blackcats
The La Marque Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. Their tough 52-29 loss to Bay City might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for La Marque in their matchups with Bay City: they've now lost five in a row.
Bay City's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Khylee Perry, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. Perry has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last seven times she's played. Alizia Gonzales was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
La Marque has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-20 record this season. As for Bay City, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-15.
La Marque does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bay City also has no future games currently scheduled.
