Softball Recap: Macon County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Jackson County last Monday, Macon County came back down to earth. Macon County fell just short of Gordonsville by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Macon County of the 16-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Macon County's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Gordonsville, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Macon County will venture away from home to challenge Trousdale County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gordonsville, they are taking a road trip to take on Red Boiling Springs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
