Volleyball Recap: Miller Grove's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Miller Grove entered their tilt with M.L. King on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Lions by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Wolverines, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Miller Grove was: they took both sets by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-4.

Miller Grove's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from DeMyah Peoples, who had four aces and one block. That's the most aces Peoples has posted since back in August of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor-Raye Evering, who had five kills and two blocks.

Miller Grove's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for M.L. King, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Miller Grove has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Lithonia on the 9th. As for M.L. King, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Redan on the 9th.
