Your Performance Center Show with tips from top performance coaches in the nation.

This past year has been unbelievable. I was able to connect with some exceptional athletes as well as amazing performance coaches.

I met Chris Gizzi, former NFL linebacker and founder of Zone Ready, at the “Nike Trainer 1 Summit” in Long Beach this summer. I ran into him after this event and explained how the Performance Center has emerged as a valuable resource for coaches and student athletes alike. We found that Gizzi’s vision on educating coaches and athletes on proper training techniques is similar to mine.

Zone Ready has since partnered up with the Performance Center to provide both athletes and coaches training programs. Check out their website and let me know what you think by logging on to http://www.zoneready.net.

Earlier this year, I also had the honor of developing another valuable resource in Jade Molina of Elite Athletes. Molina accompanied me to Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, where we took the basketball team through performance testing and a preseason-training program. During this time I learned more about his organization, Elite’s “Combine Camps” and library of professional and collegiate athletes training at his facility.

If you’re looking for a world class programs check out the Elite Athletics website at www.eliteathletics.com. Don’t forget to return to this blog and share your thoughts with fellow coaches and athletes.

Both organizations have since provided excellent content to the MaxPreps Performance Center. We have more tips from Molina and Gizzi this week on an all-new “Training The Bod”. Be sure to check it out!
