Basketball Preview: Stringer Red Devils vs. Leake County Gators
Stringer is 0-9 against the Gators since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Stringer Red Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Leake County Gators at 7:00 p.m.
Last Tuesday, Stringer took a serious blow against the Gators, falling 55-18. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Stringer in their matchups with the Gators: they've now lost nine in a row.
Stringer has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. As for Leake County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-14.
Stringer was dealt a bruising 55-18 defeat at the hands of the Gators in their previous matchup on Tuesday. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Leake County's Kaitlyn Chapman, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten assists. Now that Stringer knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
