Basketball Recap: Juarez Piles Up the Points Against Farragut

While Juarez didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They breezed by the Farragut Admirals to the tune of 46-10 on Wednesday. That 36 point margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

Juarez's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Martha Patino led the charge by putting up ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Flores, who posted ten points.

Despite the loss, Farragut still got an impressive performance from Abigail Montoya, who earned six points.

The victory was the third in a row for Juarez, bringing their record for this year to 4-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.0 points per game. As for Farragut, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Juarez wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 28-24 win against Holy Trinity on the 16th. As for Farragut, they will host Kennedy at 5:00 p.m. on December 18th.
