Basketball Recap: Sal Bonasera's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northeast Metro RVT over Triton Regional

Northeast Metro RVT lost against Triton Regional back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Northeast Metro RVT Knights took a 72-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Triton Regional Vikings.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sal Bonasera, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 15 points. What's more, Bonasera also posted four rebounds, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Kam Conroy was another key player, going 6-for-14 on his way to 15 points and six boards.

Northeast Metro RVT has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points over those games. As for Triton Regional, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.

Northeast Metro RVT wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 77-45 defeat against Saugus on the 17th. Triton Regional has also already played their next contest (against Pentucket Regional), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
