Sierra Canyon waltzed into their matchup on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Torrey Pines Falcons. For the Trailblazers, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2021.

Sierra Canyon walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 24-26, 25-16, 25-14.

Hanna McGinest paced Sierra Canyon's offense, picking up 15 kills. McGinest got some help from Lucky Fasavalu and her 44 assists. Fasavalu was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Sierra Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Torrey Pines, the loss snapped their winning streak at 12 games and leaves them with a 13-2 record.

Sierra Canyon has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Cathedral Catholic on the 13th. As for Torrey Pines, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Mater Dei on the 16th.
