Basketball Recap: West Tallahatchie Choctaws vs. South Delta Bulldogs
West Tallahatchie lost a heartbreaker to South Delta when they met back in February, and they left with a heavy heart again on Tuesday. The West Tallahatchie Choctaws fell to the South Delta Bulldogs 67-62. The matchup was a 34-34 toss-up at halftime, but the Choctaws couldn't quite close it out.

West Tallahatchie's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Althaveon Hoskins, who went 6 for 7 on his way to 13 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Hoskins has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Roosevelt Phillips, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
