Volleyball Recap: Riverdale Takes a Loss

Riverdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Darlington Redbirds. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chieftains of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 19-25, 25-16, 25-15.

Riverdale's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Darlington, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 7-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Riverdale and Cuba City will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Darlington, they will be playing at home against Iowa-Grant at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
