Basketball Game Preview: Garinger Wildcats vs. Concord Spiders + How To Watch

The Garinger Wildcats will take on the Concord Spiders in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Garinger is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They lost 94-74 to Palisades on Friday. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-27.

Despite the defeat, Garinger saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aaron Lawler went 11-for-27 on his way to 31 points and three steals. That was a full 41.9% of the Wildcats' points, marking the third time in a row Lawler has posted more than a third of the team's points. Jadarian Dixon was another key player, shooting 55% from the field to rack up 15 points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Concord was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through an 87-41 loss at the hands of Hickory Ridge. The matchup marked the Spiders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
