Basketball Recap: Otis Skates Past Briggsdale with Ease

Otis won the last time they faced Briggsdale and things went their way on Friday too. The Otis Bulldogs simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Briggsdale Falcons 69-36. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 29 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Otis to victory, but perhaps none more so than Charlie Kendrick, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 14 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mitchell Stivers, who posted ten points along with six steals and five assists.

Otis smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.

Otis' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points per game. As for Briggsdale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

Otis will square off against Weldon Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Otis is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.9 points per game this season. As for Briggsdale, they will take on Denver Academy at 6:30 p.m. on February 1st.
