Football Recap: Modesto Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Modesto Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Stone Ridge Christian Knights, falling 50-14. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 941st, while the Knights are ranked 449th).

Despite the loss, Modesto Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jameel Harrison picked up 128 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Harrison showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 57 yards.

Modesto Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Stone Ridge Christian, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Modesto Christian will venture away from home to take on River Islands at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Stone Ridge Christian, they will welcome Chowchilla at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
