Baseball Game Preview: Paso Robles Bearcats vs. Righetti Warriors

Paso Robles and Righetti are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Paso Robles Bearcats are taking a road trip to take on the Righetti Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Paso Robles has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Paso Robles is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They lost 12-6 to Arroyo Grande on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Bearcats in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost nine in a row.

Xander Hermanson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Marcus Garcia, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Righetti came up short against St. Bonaventure on Tuesday and fell 5-2.

Paso Robles' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Righetti, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Paso Robles couldn't quite get it done against Righetti in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 as they fell 5-1. Can Paso Robles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
