The Classical Academy won the last time they faced La Junta, and Jackson Schipfer did his part to make sure it happened again. The Titans put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 45-25 victory on Friday with plenty of help from Schipfer, who rushed for 206 yards and one score while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 149 rushing yards.

Although La Junta took the loss, they still got scores from Christian Armendariz, Calvin Hill, and Eban Morales.

The Classical Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for La Junta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

The Classical Academy and La Junta will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Titans see the field they'll take on Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for La Junta, their break will end when they face Lamar at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
