Preview: Aberdeen Eagles vs. Caravel Buccaneers
The Aberdeen Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Caravel Buccaneers on Saturday. Aberdeen has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 19.
Aberdeen pushed their score all the way to 69 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 78-69 to C. Milton Wright. While losing is never fun, Aberdeen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 170th, while C. Milton Wright is ranked 31st).
DARION PARRIS put forth a good effort for the losing side as he dropped a double-double on 37 points and ten rebounds. PARRIS is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was JOMAR CAMACHO, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Caravel pushed their score all the way to 59 two weeks ago, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 77-59 to Appoquinimink.
Aberdeen dropped their record down to 4-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Caravel, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
