Football Recap: Isabella Steveson and Natalie Zuzek Pace Wiregrass Ranch Defense

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wiregrass Ranch can now relate to. They took an 18-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wharton Wildcats on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 39 points in the game before, the Bulls couldn't push the score so high this time.

Although Wiregrass Ranch took the loss, they still got scores from Natalie Zuzek and Kennedy Bequette.

Wiregrass Ranch didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Isabella Steveson and Zuzek. Steveson also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with eight.

Wiregrass Ranch has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Wharton, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.

Wiregrass Ranch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wharton, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 20-0 loss against Land O' Lakes on the 15th.
