After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Las Plumas, Foothill was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lassen Grizzlies, sneaking past 3-2. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 9-6 win the Grizzlies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2022.

The team relied heavily on Gracie Park, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Addyson Cheney also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

The victory got Foothill back to even at 2-2-1. As for Lassen, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Foothill will head out to take on West Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lassen will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Modoc at 2:00 p.m. on March 18th.
