Softball Recap: Rockdale Comes Up Short

Rockdale lost against C.H. Yoe back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rockdale Tigers lost 10-1 to the C.H. Yoe Yoemen. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered since April 5, 2024.

Emma Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and five unearned) runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, Rockdale saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izabella Delgadillo, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double was Delgadillo's first of the season.

Even though they lost, Rockdale hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as C.H. Yoe struck out ten times.

Rockdale now has a losing record of 5-6-1. As for C.H. Yoe, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 9-7.

While Rockdale had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
