Basketball Game Preview: Charleston Bluejays vs. Central Tigers

Having just played yesterday, the Charleston Bluejays will head out on the road to face off against the Central Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Charleston knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 contests -- so hopefully Central likes a good challenge.

On Monday, Charleston earned a 62-50 victory over Leopold. The win continues a trend for the Bluejays in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won seven in a row.

Charleston got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Deshaun Henderson out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards. Treshaun Schandon was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Charleston smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, Central ended up a good deal behind Sikeston on Friday and lost 63-44. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Charleston's record now sits at 12-10. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.

Charleston came up short against Central in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 62-56. Can Charleston avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
