Basketball Recap: Telstar Takes a Loss

If Telstar was riding high fresh off their 89-20 takedown of North Haven last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Telstar Rebels came up short against the Valley Cavaliers on Monday, falling 66-44. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Rebels have suffered since January 27, 2024.

Telstar's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Valley, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Telstar is taking a road trip to take on Vinalhaven at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Forest Hills at 6:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Valley's favor as the team sits on ten straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Forest Hills has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
