Soccer Recap: Pleasant Valley Takes a Loss

Pleasant Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saint Thomas Aquinas Saints. While losing is never fun, Pleasant Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 58th in Iowa, while Saint Thomas Aquinas are ranked ninth in Kansas).

Pleasant Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-9-1. As for Saint Thomas Aquinas, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5.

Coming up, Pleasant Valley will head out to square off against Davenport Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Saint Thomas Aquinas, they will face off against Bishop Miege at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
