Gulf Coast is 10-0 against Golden Gate since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Gulf Coast Sharks will face off against the Golden Gate Titans at 7:00 p.m. Gulf Coast has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 5.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Gulf Coast's offense. They came up short against American Heritage on Saturday, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Sharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Patriots are ranked first).

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Golden Gate walked away with it. They never let the Wolfpack onto the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Wednesday. The Titans' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last five games.

Sabrina Llanes and Elizabeth Martinez scored all five of Golden Gate's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Gulf Coast's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14-1. As for Golden Gate, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 2-11 record.

Gulf Coast beat Golden Gate 3-1 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gulf Coast since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
