Basketball Recap: South Central Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for South Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They walked away with a 38-30 win over the Hobart Brickies on Saturday. The Satellites have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Brickies, too.

Makenna Welsh was the offensive standout of the game as she went 6 of 10 en route to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Lexi Johnson, who posted 12 points and four steals.

When it comes to explaining why Hobart lost, don't look at Riley Weber. Despite the final result, she had seven points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Hallie Pendleton, who posted six points and seven steals.

South Central's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Hobart, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

South Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 59-21 win against Hebron on the 9th. As for Hobart, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 75-39 defeat against Hammond Morton on the 8th.
