Baseball Game Preview: Windsor Owls vs. Festus Tigers

For the second straight game, Windsor will face off against Festus. The Owls are taking a road trip to face off against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Windsor fell victim to Festus and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 9-0. The Owls haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

For Festus' part, the result came thanks to Jackson Smith's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks. Smith has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brady Nolen, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Layton Wenstrom, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

The victory (which was Festus' fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Windsor, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
