Softball Recap: Elk Rapids Elks vs. Petoskey Northmen        
        
		
            
 In what's become a running theme this season, Elk Rapids gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Petoskey Northmen as the Elk Rapids Elks made off with  a  16-6 win. The  victory was some much needed relief for Elk Rapids as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
  Brooke Fluty was a standout: she scored four  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ashley McCann, who  scored three  runs while going 3-for-4.
 Elk Rapids' win  ended  a  four-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 17-6-1. As for Petoskey, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost six of their last seven matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record  this season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elk Rapids will play host again  on Monday to welcome Charlevoix, where first pitch is scheduled  at 4:30  p.m. As for Petoskey, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rogers City at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
