Baseball Recap: Eastview's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Eastview ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Hastings Raiders. This was payback for the Lightning, who suffered a 5-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Devon Ackerman looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has become a key player for Eastview: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-13 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Tucker Bakken was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Shane Klein, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one double.

Eastview's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-14. As for Hastings, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Eastview nor Hastings have any future games scheduled.
