Basketball Recap: Ben Ptashnik and Matthew Mccoy Secure Win for Harrison

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Harrison walked away with it. They blew past the Fox Lane Foxes 54-32 on Saturday. The Huskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Harrison was led to victory by Matthew Mccoy and Ben Ptashnik. Mccoy shot 56% from the field to rack up 22 points, while Ptashnik went 7-for-12 en route to 17 points. The game was Mccoy's third in a row with at least 22 points. Joseph Crupi was another key player, putting up five points and three steals.

Harrison is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points over those games. Fox Lane's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-6.

Harrison didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-44 defeat against Tappan Zee on the 27th. Fox Lane does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
