Baseball Recap: Gueydan Comes Up Short

Mamou hit Gueydan with a 11-run third inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bears came up short against the Demons, falling 15-0. If the Bears were looking for revenge after losing 13-3 to the Demons when the teams met back in February of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

This is the second loss in a row for Gueydan and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Mamou, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Gueydan will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Berchmans Academy at 3:30 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Mamou, they will face off against Eunice at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
