After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Stony Point, Hutto was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Manor Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Hutto never let Manor on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-22, 25-9.

Hutto found their leader in sophomore Teagan Coombs, who had seven digs and four aces.

Hutto was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.

With the win, Hutto broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 14-26. As for Manor, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-30.

Hutto and Manor could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Hippos will face off against Vandegrift at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (524 vs. 230). Meanwhile, Manor (ranked 1030th) will meet Vista Ridge (ranked 190th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
