Roanoke Catholic extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Jayden Johnson. The Roanoke Catholic Celtics managed a 57-53 victory over the Hargrave Military Academy Tigers on Thursday thanks in part to Johnson, who went 9 for 12 on his way to 29 points. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last eight games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Demarcus Brown, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Those ten boards gave him a new career-high.

Hargrave Military Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tim King, who went 8 of 16 en route to 21 points. King also put up a block, which washis first of the season. Kendall Lanier was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.

Roanoke Catholic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.9 points per game. As for Hargrave Military Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-13.

Roanoke Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-57 win against Benedictine on the 24th. As for Hargrave Military Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 66-64 loss against Bull City Prep National on the 24th.
