Basketball Recap: North Broward Prep Comes Up Short

On Monday, the North Broward Prep Eagles were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 50-45 to the Reagan Bison. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, North Broward Prep still got an impressive performance from Jayden Smith, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Cano, who posted nine points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, North Broward Prep smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.

Sebastian Gonzalez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Reagan, putting up 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Bravo, who put up 11 points.

North Broward Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Reagan, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Broward Prep will challenge Sagemont at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. North Broward Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.4 points per game this season. As for Reagan, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against JC Bermudez Doral at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
