Baseball Recap: Matanzas Pirates vs. Taylor Wildcats

Matanzas had lost eight straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 1-4 to make it nine. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Taylor Wildcats. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

As for Taylor, the win got them back to even at 2-2. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Taylor's part, Chase Heimbach made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
