Baseball Game Preview: Sherman Huskies vs. Pilot Rock Rockets

The Sherman Huskies will challenge the Pilot Rock Rockets at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Umatilla hit Sherman with a five-run seventh inning two weeks ago, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Huskies came up short against the Vikings, falling 10-3.

Meanwhile, Pilot Rock fell victim to Irrigon and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Knights. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Rockets were not able to get on the board.

Sherman's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Pilot Rock, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Everything went Sherman's way against Pilot Rock in their previous meeting back in May of 2017, as Sherman made off with a 15-5 victory. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Rockets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
