Basketball Recap: Eldorado Takes a Loss

Eldorado lost against Moapa Valley back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eldorado Firehawks were dealt a 76-47 defeat at the hands of the Moapa Valley Pirates. The Firehawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Moapa Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaxson Bunker, who went 8 for 15 from beyond the arc on his way to 32 points. Brigham Whitmore was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.

Eldorado's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Moapa Valley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eldorado will challenge Del Sol at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Moapa Valley, they will take on Virgin Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Moapa Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.6 points per game this season.
