Soccer Game Preview: Upper Dublin vs. Great Valley

The Upper Dublin Cardinals will head out to challenge the Great Valley Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Upper Dublin's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Upper Dublin took a four-goal loss the last time they faced off against Central Bucks East, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cardinals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Patriots on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Great Valley had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bears. Given Great Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Boyertown are ranked 167th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Great Valley's victory bumped their record up to 13-4-2. As for Upper Dublin, their win bumped their record up to 8-6-4.
