Baseball Game Preview: Luverne Tigers vs. Goshen Eagles

For the second straight game, Luverne will face off against Goshen. The Tigers will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Luverne is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

Luverne lost 13-3 to Goshen on Thursday.

For Goshen's part, Grant Taylor spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Tyler McLendon was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-5. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Mason Adair, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Goshen's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13. As for Luverne, their loss dropped their record down to 1-18.
