Janesville Craig is 9-1 against Milton since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cougars will head out to square off against the Red Hawks at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Janesville Craig challenged Oregon on Tuesday. The Cougars never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Milton got the win against Sun Prairie West on Friday by a conclusive 8-0. The result was nothing new for the Red Hawks, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Ben Schultz looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Gavin Cole was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carter Vande Berg, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Janesville Craig's record now sits at 14-10. As for Milton, their record is now 21-5.

Janesville Craig came out on top in a nail-biter against Milton when the teams last played last Saturday, sneaking past 10-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
