Recap: Booker T. Washington Golden Eagles vs. Brewbaker Tech Rams
The Booker T. Washington Golden Eagles struggled with assists on Friday (the Brewbaker Tech Rams had ten more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Booker T. Washington took a hard 45-30 fall against Brewbaker Tech. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Booker T. Washington has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Booker T. Washington saw an underclassman step up: Tylizea Sanders scored 13 points. Jordan Fitzpatrick was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Brewbaker Tech's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Erin Martin, who scored 12 points along with three steals and three blocks. Martin is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kennedi Mcghee, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Booker T. Washington and nudges their season record down to 7-5. As for Brewbaker Tech, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.
Booker T. Washington will be playing at home against LAMP at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. LAMP will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while Booker T. Washington is ranked 191st). As for Brewbaker Tech, they will square off against Sumter Central at 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
