Baseball Recap: Central Dauphin East's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Central Dauphin East can bid farewell to their 15-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They never let the Harrisburg Cougars get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The Panthers not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 20th (when they won 12-0).

Lucas Kern tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over 6.1 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cam Grates, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Joshua Gonzalez was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Central Dauphin East's win bumped their record up to 3-16. As for Harrisburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
