After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sumner, St. Thomas Aquinas was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Independence Tigers a 19-0 shutout. The contest marked the Falcons' most dominant victory of the season.

Miley Rogers was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing six bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
