Basketball Recap: Twin Valley Comes Up Short

Twin Valley had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 53-46 to the Twinfield Trojans on Friday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the defeat, Twin Valley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brayden Brown almost dropped a double-double on 31 points and nine rebounds. Brown is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games he's played dating back to last season. Steve Oyer was another key player, putting up five points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

The win got Twinfield back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, Twin Valley and Twinfield will both be playing Poultney the next time they take the court. Twinfield will head out to face Poultney at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Twin Valley will play them later in the day, at 5:30 p.m.
