Basketball Recap: Galt Takes a Loss

Galt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were dealt an 84-50 defeat at the hands of the Union Mine Diamondbacks. The Warriors lost against the Diamondbacks in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 92-30 score last time.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Union Mine to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jeremiah Otte, who shot 4-for-7 from deep and almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Patterson, who went 6 of 11 en route to 14 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Galt's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Union Mine, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-12 record this season.

Galt has already played their next game, a 56-37 defeat against Liberty Ranch on the 24th. As for Union Mine, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 87-67 victory against El Dorado on the 24th.
