Volleyball Recap: Scottsdale Christian Academy Takes Down North Valley Christian Academy in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Scottsdale Christian Academy had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the North Valley Christian Academy Lions 3-2. The Eagles are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 16 straight.

Among those leading the charge was Lucy Dickerson, who had 14 digs and four assists. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Howell, who had eight digs and two aces.

Scottsdale Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Valley Christian Academy only served seven.

North Valley Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Brooke Lovas and Suzy Goold. Lovas had 16 assists and six digs, while Goold had nine digs and two aces. Lovas is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 14 games she's played.

Scottsdale Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 35-6. As for North Valley Christian Academy, they moved to 31-8 with that defeat, which also ended their 15-match winning streak.

As of now, neither Scottsdale Christian Academy nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
