 Catholic Central had to endure  a  three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  5-3  win over the South Christian Sailors  on Tuesday. This was payback for Catholic Central, who suffered  a  9-7  defeat the last time these two teams met.
  Allison Owen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three  runs (all of which were unearned)  on three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Gen Cook and  Riley Lyons did most of the damage at the plate:  Cook  scored a  run while going 2-for-3, while  Lyons  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Catholic Central's victory  ended  a  four-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 9-8. As for South Christian, their loss  ended  a  seven-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 12-9.
 Catholic Central will have a chance to go back-to-back against South Christian: the pair will be back at it again later today.
