            Baseball Recap: Waynesboro Little Giants vs. Wilson Memorial Green Hornets        
        
		
        
        
            Waynesboro came into their game  on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against  the Wilson Memorial Green Hornets, falling  11-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Green Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  8-2  on April 4th.
 Waynesboro saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Trenton Carson, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base.
Waynesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Wilson Memorial, their win was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 7-6.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waynesboro will face off against James River at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Little Giants are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. As for Wilson Memorial, they will square off against Riverheads at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Gladiators' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7  runs per game  this season, so the Green Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
