Volleyball Recap: The King's Academy Takes a Loss

The King's Academy lost against Mount Paran Christian back in August of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Knights took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

Ayla Ringelberg paced The King's Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Ringelberg got some help from Cara Richard and her 11 assists. Finally, Ringelberg was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Leading Mount Paran Christian to victory were Avery Kohler and Kelsie Moran. Kohler had eight digs and two aces, while Moran had eight digs and two aces. Kohler is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The King's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Mount Paran Christian, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

The King's Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Glenwood on the 23rd. As for Mount Paran Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Allatoona on the 21st.
